Get ready to kick off a new season with 6x Ironman World Champion Mark Allen at the 4th annual TRI-MANIA Summit and Expo in the Mid Atlantic!

The 4th annual TRI-MANIA Summit and Expo (formerly known as the Multisport World Conference and Expo) in the Mid-Atlantic returns to the Hanley Center for Athletic Excellence at Georgetown Prep in North Bethesda, MD on Sunday, March 24, 2013. An exciting day is in the works including seminars, training clinics, competitive events, activities for the kids a vendor expo and more!

Keynoting this year's event will be MARK ALLEN. Known as “The Grip”, Mark suffered a number of frustrating defeats in the Ironman World Championship to fellow legend Dave Scott before pulling away from Scott to win the "Iron War" in 1989. Allen won the next five times he raced the Hawaiian Ironman, for six total victories in Kona (’89, ’90, ’91, ’92, ’93, ’95). Mark was equally accomplished at short course triathlon and was later named "The Worlds Greatest Triathlete" by Triathlete magazine. Mark's keynote presentation will address how he ultimately came to beat Dave Scott in the "Iron War" (details here). Mark will also be on hand to lead a clinic and a half day workshop (details here).
